Dynamic vs. Static Applicants

SCALIS signifies a Dynamic Application due to the connection between SCALIS ATS <> SCALIS Job Board, while still offering recruiters the option manually process passive candidates via Static Applications.

Dynamic Applicants

(AKA Active, Direct)

Dynamic Applications are applications from candidates who have directly applied to a job. These applicants will immediately start in the Application Stage of the hiring pipeline. By directly applying, they have created a profile within the SCALIS Job Board, and thus have visibility on each step of the Hiring Process.

Static Applicants

(AKA Uploaded, Passive)

Static Applications are very similar to passive candidates. They have not directly applied to a role via the SCALIS Job Board, but have been manually uploaded to the job via the Recruiter. Because they didn’t apply directly, they don’t have a profile within the SCALIS Job Board, and thus have zero visibility on their status in the Hiring Process unless otherwise communicated to from their Recruiter.

⚠️ Static Applicants turn into Dynamic Applicants only if the Recruiter sends the “Invite To Apply” email to the candidate and the candidate utilizes this to apply directly to the role. If they already have a SCALIS Job Seeker profile, this will then link the new job to their existing SCALIS account.
