LinkedIn Job Wrapping via XML Feed (Free Limited Listings)

JOB BOARDS
Automatically sync your SCALIS job postings to LinkedIn using the LinkedIn Jobs XML feed integration.
Reference guide5 min read
Overview

The LinkedIn Jobs XML integration lets you automatically push jobs from SCALIS directly to LinkedIn, keeping your listings continuously up to date. LinkedIn pulls the XML feed every 6 hours, so changes you make in SCALIS reflect on LinkedIn within that window.

This integration is distinct from SCALIS's LinkedIn Limited Listings (powered by VONQ and the Basic Jobs API). The XML feed method gives you full control over job content and supports LinkedIn Recruiter customers on both Job Slot and Job Post contract types.

💡 Note: Which integration do I have? If your LinkedIn Product Settings shows Job slot utilization, you're a Job Slot customer. If it shows Contract Spend, you're a Job Post customer. The setup process differs slightly between the two.
Which LinkedIn Posting Path Do I Use?

SCALIS supports two methods for posting jobs to LinkedIn. The right path depends on whether you have a paid LinkedIn Recruiter account.

Paid — LinkedIn Recruiter
XML Feed (Job Slots)
For companies with a LinkedIn Recruiter subscription. Jobs post using your purchased job slot allocation through an XML feed that LinkedIn pulls every 6 hours.
Free — Limited Listings
Basic Jobs API
For companies without LinkedIn Recruiter. SCALIS pushes jobs to LinkedIn for free as organic listings, powered by VONQ. Subject to LinkedIn's organic posting policies.
💡 Note: Not sure which you have? Log in to LinkedIn Recruiter and go to Product Settings. If you see Job slot utilization, you're on the XML feed path. If you don't have a Recruiter account, you're using Limited Listings.
Prerequisites

An active LinkedIn account (Job Slot or Job Post)

Admin access to your LinkedIn company page

Your SCALIS XML feed URL (provided by your SCALIS Customer Success Manager)

Organic job posting enabled on your LinkedIn company page
Enabling Organic Job Posting

As LinkedIn transitions organic postings to its Basic Jobs API, every company page needs the Enable basic job posting toggle turned on before jobs from the XML feed can appear on LinkedIn. This is a one-time setup step.

1
Step 1
Access Your Company Page

Log in to your personal LinkedIn account.

In the left-hand sidebar, or through the Me icon at the top, select your company name under the Manage section.

2
Step 2
Open Job Settings

From your Company Page in Admin view, select Settings at the bottom of the left-side menu.

Select Job postings from the sub-menu.
Final Step
Enable Basic Job Posting

At the top of the page, locate the Enable basic job posting toggle.

Switch it to On. It turns green when active.
⚠️ Warning: If the toggle doesn't work, the admin of the LinkedIn account should email LTSATSINTEGRATIONS@linkedin.com and request that job postings be enabled for their company page. This setting can be adjusted at any time through that email address.
⚠️ Warning: This is the most common reason jobs don't appear on LinkedIn. If you've set up the XML feed correctly but jobs still aren't posting, check this toggle first before opening a support ticket.
Understanding Job Slots vs. Limited Listings

SCALIS supports two distinct LinkedIn job posting pathways. It's important to know which one your account uses.

Job slot limit matters?Yes. Active jobs can't exceed your purchased slot count. No hard slot limit, but subject to LinkedIn's organic policies.
⚠️ Warning: Job slot mismatch is a common issue. If you have fewer LinkedIn job slots than active jobs in your SCALIS feed, some jobs won't post. Regularly check your active job count against your purchased slot count, and contact your LinkedIn account manager if you need to increase your allocation.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often does LinkedIn pull the XML feed?
LinkedIn scrapes XML feeds every 6 hours. You can check the last and next update times in LinkedIn Recruiter under Product Settings → Job posting → ATS Sources for Automated Job Postings.
Can I edit a job after it's been posted?
Yes. Update the job in SCALIS and it reflects on LinkedIn at the next feed pull, within 6 hours. Manual edits made directly in LinkedIn Recruiter get overwritten if the same job changes in the feed.
My jobs aren't showing up at all. What should I check?
Confirm the Enable basic job posting toggle is on for your LinkedIn company page, verify with your SCALIS CSM that your feed URL is publicly accessible, review the Invalid Jobs section in LinkedIn Recruiter, and confirm your active job count doesn't exceed your purchased job slots.
Who do I contact for support?
For LinkedIn-specific feed issues, open a ticket at LinkedIn Recruiter Help. LinkedIn Support can help with field questions, feed testing, and posting errors, but can't create the XML feed for you. For SCALIS-specific questions about your feed URL or job sync settings, contact support@scalis.ai.
